From Coogee Beach we headed 100km east to Jarrahdale free camp. We stayed here in 2023 but this time it was a lot busier but still a great camp to base ourselves.
Once we set up, our neighbours came over to say hi and it was Warren and Jodi Harris from Brisbane. I had known they were in WA but they recognised our car and van (called the Bradby’s to check it was us) then came to say hello.
That afternoon, we headed out with the Harris’ for a 10-15km ride on the Munda Biddi which had a significant bit of climbing involved so was a bit tough. We finished up the day with a drink at the pub before heading back to camp. Over the 4 days we stayed at Jarrahdale, we explored the Heritage walk into town and the King Jarrah log, and hiked 10km on Kitty’s Gorge trail in Serpentine NP.
After a top-up shop in Byford, we had another flat tyre due to split valve stem (from Safety Dave TPMS). We headed into Baldivis to repair the valve then into Rockingham to buy different tyre pressure monitors (icheck). We are hoping the smaller ones will have less vibration and therefore not split the valve stems.
Jarrahdale was a great stopover for 4 days.
